| − | Oriundo do Belenenses, Tormenta chegou ao [[Sporting Clube de Portugal]] em 1947 com 21 anos de idade, mas nunca saiu da sombra primeiro de [[João Azevedo]] e depois de [[Carlos Gomes]], jogando habitualmente nas Reservas. Nesse período em que fez apenas 4 jogos oficiais pela equipa principal, foi duas vezes Campeão Nacional.
